This webinar has concluded

Locomotor clinical practice guidelines support the use of gait training at higher intensities to promote functional recovery in the neurological population.

Patients with complex neurological injuries have a multitude of impairments which often include cognitive deficits.

This webinar will discuss how to use virtual reality devices, such as GaitBetter, to address cognitive impairments including difficulties with motor learning and sustained attention while working on functional based activities.

It will discuss the current evidence available for the use of virtual reality to enhance cognitive and mobility training during physical therapy.

Case examples will be presented on how to apply these principles during virtual reality gait training.
